pc-updatemanager pkgupdate - trueos
#1
Hi,

I'm not able to update  Trueos(12.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT #14 1717ae3(drm-next-4.7): ) amd64 from SysAdm : Update Manager or  from command line. Been trying to update for past few days Sad

$ pc-updatemanager pkgupdate

Are there other mirrors available for doing updates rather than using the default ones?

Thanks
Zack

Consider deferring updates until after https://github.com/trueos/trueos-core/issues/291 is closed.

Adding -4 option for fetch or using wget -4 instead of fetch  in pc-updatemanager and it worked fine. It seems when using fetch without -4 option it's trying  IPv6 addresses first then IPv4 and transfer fails.

For  ${PKG_CMD} ${PKG_CFLAG} ${PKG_FLAG} fetch -U -d -y ports-mgmt/pkg 2>&1 | tee -a ${PKGUPGRADELOG} I added IPv4 address of pkg.cdn.trueos.org in /etc/hosts and it just worked fine while it was failing earlier. Please see below.

Thumbs Up
Thanks, that seems to be a gem, so I took the liberty of editing your post – primarily to add markup – if you find any error in my edition, please let us know.
