Kernel source for building modules
I'd like to being developing modules for FreeBSD.  I'm somewhat experienced in this on Linux though.  I'm running PC-BSD (should I say TrueOS now???) 10.3.  Here's the output from uname

Quote:[afalanga@fang] ~/devel/kern% uname -a
FreeBSD fang 10.3-RELEASE-p5 FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p5 #0: Thu Jun 30 03:52:15 UTC 2016  amd64

What is the correct method of ensuring that one has the proper build environment for their respective kernel?  I'm rather used to "sudo yum install kernel-devel" or something similar and the package management system takes care of dependencies.  I've found some threads and other things that suggest downloading from, but is that a "safe thing" after patch-level n has been applied?  I also read about using sysinstall to install the sources for me.  However, sysinstall isn't on my system.
