how can i load a kernel by hand ?
is the bootsector active after installation?
load kernel by hand, why is there ho kernel list?
ls does not work, show nothing

i used install defaults:
empty harddisk
copied files
set to german
have no mouse, do i need?

my hardware:

board: msi ms-6309
bios vmp 1.0B8a

pentium3 800EB
mem: 327680K
grafik: GF-FX5200-128MB

primary master quantum fireballp as40.0 a1y.1300
primary slave: none
secondary master: atapi cdrom 48x v120j

True. I would also remove the keyboard and the screen and they take much room...

Seriously, why do you want to install the kernel by hand? Does PC-BSD report an error? Please tell us and we'll try our best to assist you ;)
