View Full Version : How To Start ImageMagick

10-20-2005, 02:45 AM
I installed ImageMagick both through the ports (1st) & then .pbi (2nd) as I couldn't get it to show up anywhere on the menu after installation.
Also I can't seem to start it through command line either.
I tried searching to see what the command is by Googling but didn't find AnyThing & I still can't start it up.
Does AnyOne Know what the command might be to fire up ImageMagick at all?
I am surprised either installation caused it to be on my Menu anywhere as well.

See man 1 ImageMagick (the case is important).

In most applications ImgeMagick is a collection of command line tools, unless you have a driver program that calls one or more of them. None of the tools is called ImageMagick. Usually I use convert (to convert formats) though gs works for many of these as well.

See also http://www.imagemagick.org , which is the first item found in a Google search.

Thanks Fellas I appreciate your help,
I messed up me bootloader with another linux installation & now have to get around to fix it so I can boot into PC-BSD again.
When I do I will be able to try your suggestions which is why I have taken a while to reply.
Hopefully won't be farrr away.
