PC-BSD is going to have a new web site this year, and therefore we are launching a web design contest.

Any one can participate as a volunteer, the web site should look like an outsider (if possible) but still professional at the same time. It should be good-looking, attractive, and not overweight.

If you have design skills and would like to take some time, you have until January 31th to submit your 1000x800 PNG mockup. We will gather all of them and afterwards, the community will vote on this forum to elect the best one. You can send your mockup to charles_AT_pcbsd_d0t_org. You can also submit more than one mockup. You are free to design the way you think is best (colors, fonts, tone, format, width, etc...). Keep in mind that PC-BSD is a community backed by a company that offers professional commercial support.

Thanks and good luck, may the best win!

You can download the logo if needed: http://www.pcbsd.org/?p=artwork

I like that one too except for the surfing background.

My favorite so far as well. The more professional and functional, the better!

The best one is the surfer guy from far in my opinion.
Really attractive, easy access and very nice colors layout.
