Default CrossOver Games
Many of you have probably already seen the posting on the main page about CrossOver Games for PC-BSD, but I just wanted to give it an additional plug here. We are very rapidly seeing wine improve on BSD, and will probably see the same level of compatibility as the Linux version in the near future. If you are somebody who likes to play games, or even would like to use a product like Crossover Office, please checkout the BSD Challenge issued by Jeremy White at CodeWeavers:

http://www.codeweavers.com/support/foru ... ;msg=32282

If you have already purchased a copy of CrossOver Games or CrossOver Office in the past, please be sure to vote for FreeBSD as your requested application:

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibilit ... app_id=573

If another 15 people vote, we'll be in the top 10 most requested apps, which will go a long way to getting some sort of "official" support for wine on FreeBSD / PC-BSD.

Thanks!

Does it /cost/ any thing to reg & vote?

As far as CrossOver Games goes, I think I'll look for a trial and see if it meets my min-req on ability.

Default Re: CrossOver Games
I was excited to hear about crossover games for freeBSD, so I decided to run the trial version of CG on my MAC first to see if it could run Realflight G3 on it (which is really the only windows game that I need), which is listed on the Crossover sight as a "medal of honor" winner in compatibility. Much to my disappointment, the game didn't even install, less run. I am not banking that it would run on BSD if it didn't run on the more well-tested MAC version. I'll have to defer purchasing unless anyone else can tell me how to get it to run.

this doesn´t really fir in this thread
but i´m quite new with bsd
beeing in the process of getting to know the system better and after a few solved problems i´m thinking of trying some games with bsd
and because i´m still in the process of getting wine to run i stumbled over cross games downloaded the trial but i can´t get it to bee installed
i tried several different ways and in some sort of way it installed but i can´t find it anymore ... is this a cross over problem or is it my fault that it doesn´t work with on my system
would be nice if i could get some help here

CrossOver for Linux is not supported on FreeBSD.

(I even tried a few tricks on the installer >_>)

I beleive PC-BSD support has been discontinued.. I just looked and the pbi file they use to have is no longer under unsupported downloads in my account...

well this a no-brainer, of course we want codemongers' GAMES to make it work on PC-BSD, always and forever.
