Default Sound Blaster X-Fi ExtremeMusic
Maybe you know if there is any drivers for this sound card but the only available one from the Creative site is for Linux 64Bit.

I don't find any drivers for the card, if you have any knowledge about where i can find them or how to install the card i'll be glad to try

Thanks

Creative offers Linux drivers for _any_ of there products !?

I heard awhile ago that commercial OSS was supposed to have beta drivers for some of the X-Fi cards but I wouldn't know much about that.

There is already beta-support for the XFI in the free OSS version.

http://www.opensound.com/

You can find it in the ports: /usr/ports/audio/oss

Thanks for the replies and the link.

There is new drivers for all X-Fi series available now but only for XP and Vista...from Creative directly. Seems that they are not ready to admit that someone can use something else for an operating system.

PCBSD is so easy to use that i'm hoping they will have drivers for all their cards eventually

All I can say is my Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 4 works better under FreeBSD using the emu10kx driver then it does under Windows XP SP2 using any of the Creative Labs created drivers 8=)

next time I'm not getting a creative product :-)

PC-BSD v1.5 shipped with oss-4.0.b1013 installed (open sound system 4.0.b1013) fyi.
