How to install KDE4 on FreeBSD? - PC-BSD Forums

I find that there is no KDE 4 in ports. The only instruction I get is http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title ... E4/FreeBSD
. But there is not much information. Anyone who know how to build KDE 4 on FreeBSD?

The instructions in the page you linked to are correct.

I've not tried it myself, but I have heard reports or successful installations, although you might not want to use it just yet.

The FreeBSD KDE porting team is still looking at their options at the moment, due to complications from having both Qt3 and Qt4 present on a system (and kdelibs3 and 4).

It was mentioned on the mailing list that the port probably won't be ready before KDE4.1, but that is by no means certain.
