i have a compaq presario c700. its a nice computer and preforms relativly well, but for some reason when i am playing music on windows media there is a glitch. when i am playing a song towards the end of the song it skips. how doi get rid of this???

Sorry to ask the obvious, but did you install PCBSD (The title of your post is misleading? If you did install PCBSD, what application are yout using to play the music? amarok? kaffeine? What is the format of the music? MP3, windows media? cd? Does the windows media have digital rights management?

If you didn't install PCBSD, I'd follow TerryP's advise
