Dual Monitor on ATI Radeon 9250
Hey Guys. Been using PC-BSD for the last couple of days. Thru searches here, and on google have found answers to most of my installation issues. However, I do have a question that I can not figure out. Please help:
Using PC-BSD 126.96.36.199. Have updated portsnap and cvsup. Have system online and have connectivity both ways to other PC-BSD machines and an XP Pro machine. Thru Samba server. In /etc/rc.conf file, I have the firewall disabled at the present time while trying to figure this out. I have pasted a copy of the rc.conf file below, in case there is anything I am missing.
System is an Athlon XP 3500+ with 2g ram, 250g main drive, 300g and 500g storage drives. Have an ATI Radeon 9250 vid card, on board AC97 sound, onboard gigabyte net card. Have all functionality of USB flash drives and USB card readers working.
Have two Dell 771P monitors. Video card has vga and dvi outputs. Dual monitor setup was functional under XP Pro. Installed PC-BSD and the same desktop shows on both monitors. Does anyone have a link or information that would help me figure this out. I am on the computer all day long and really need the dual screen working.
I am a newbie (8 whole days) with PC-BSD. I have books on FreeBSD and have downloaded the PC-BSD documentation. But it just doesn't make sense yet.
