Default Ports fetch problem
I installed PCBSD today and configured all to fit my needs. I could connect to the internet with Konqueror and Firefox. However, when I open the "System Manager" and try to fetch the ports, it doesn't work. It just says "timed out" or something like that. I couldn't update it via command line, too. I set the proxy in the "Settings-Internet and Network-Proxy" though, and it worked as reported.
Do you have an idea what to do so that fetching the ports works?

AH, soon after you posted this I found the solution: The standard root shell (csh) obviously doesn't support the command "export"! (What a silly shell.) When I switched to bash, it worked to say "export HTTP_PROXY=proxyblahblah" and then your command. Thank you for your help. I shall post on the "Feature request forum" that the proxy setting program should also set the environment variables in order to work properly.
