Your audio card is not configured properly! In order to receive any kind of help, you must submit

Skype 1.4 is in ports but will not work on your PC-BSD since PC-BSD based on FreeBSD 6.2
stable that uses Linux emulator for Linux kernel 2.4 while Skype 1.6 requires Linux emulator for 2.6 kernel.
It is not true that Skype has version 2.0. The Skype for Linux is 1.4 and Skype 2.0 is only BETA version.
Moreover Skype is coded for Linux not for FreeBSD. It uses ALSA sound sistem. FreeBSD like Solaris uses OSS. So if you were to use row binnaries from Skype web-site and create your own port you will need to use package coded for OSS with so called static Linux libraries.
You can check the web-site and see if there is Skype 2.0 for OSS with static libraries.
You may use Skype 1.4 on Valina FreeBSD 7.0 which has linux emulator that supports Linux kernel 2.6. The application works the same as Skype 1.2 the only difference is idiotic GUI.

Speaking of 2.0 BETA you have to take into consideration the following.
FreeBSD driver for web-camera is behind the Linux or should I say only the portion of the Linux driver that really works is ported to FreeBSD. So for all practicall purposes taking video strems with FreeBSD is not possible.

Even if you knew how to use web-camera to grab the video stream as I do with Philips chip-set another layer of difficulty is that the application in this case Skype.

I do know how to use web-cam with a SIP phone Ekiga but not with Skype.

Anyhow I would strongly discourage you from using Skype on the first place as it is badly coded application that bares huge security risks for you computer.

Skype program even installed as a chroot is harvesting the host for passwords and the
root directory. Moreover Skype will be able to read of the state of your BIOS and send it to central computer in UK.

Computer with installed Skype should be kept behind the firewall on your local LAN isolated from the rest of your network and should never be used for anything serious.

Cheeers,
OKO

P. S. Skype 2.0 BETA works well on Arch-Linux with video but you have to be competent Linux user to use Arch-e. Ubuntu and similar idiot proof distros will not do it!

My recommendatin for VoIP is simple comand line SIP phone PJSIP which works like a charm
on OpenBSD but is not in ports of FreeBSD so you will have to install it by hand.

skype 2.0 or beta, but it works out of the box on Kubuntu, Mint Linux, Mepis, Mandriva, Opensuse etc, and i will not give up skype, i have my skype friends there, and it is the only one who works also in Linux. All the others, it will not help even if it would work, sip phones are not good. Ekiga never worked it will never connect.
I tried to copy what you wrote me itno the erminal, but i got such a long list, this can not be, and the second one i got this.
"no such file or direction"
.
Also Skype is no risk for me on Linux, never had problems with linux, only with windows I had problems so i didn`t installed it animore on windows. Firewall and all this stuff not needet on linux, it is all waste of time. and space.
aniways,
thanks.
