Intel 2200BG wireless w/n connect

Hi all,

I have just installed PCBSD for the first time version 1.4. Went off without a hitch on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. It is a 1.6 Celeron.
My only problem is the Intel 2200BG wireless card never links to the network. Works fine on this computer under WIndows XP. It is configured from the Network Manager as DHCP and all the settings and WEP are correct. The wired connection works fine. I get a red X over the taskbar wireless icon. In the Network Manager it was able to detect several nearby SSID's including mine, which I selected.
I checked that the radio was on with the command:

sysctl dev.iwi.0.radio

and returned:

dev.iwi.0.radio: 1

I take this along with the fact that it sees the SSID that it is working, only some element may be missing.

Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated!

Try playing around with ifconfig. You may want to try something like ifconfig device_name essid name_of_router or something like that followed by a dhclient device_name.
