Ok I enabled Compiz to take a look and now I can see all my icon in KDE but I can't interact with them. I have tried rebooting but to no avail. How can I turn it off? Does anyone no the key command? I have since found out that compiz is not compatible with my nvidia mx 4000.
Well I am answering my own post here. I deleted the /PCBSD/conf/compiz-enable.*. Still no dice on restart. I went into the ~/.kde/Autostart and deleted the compiz file. No issues now. I hope this helps others.
Ran into the same problem, but the file you mentioned didn't exist (v1.4).
~/.kde/fusion-enable looked a likely candidate so I deleted that and all was well
Got Compiz-Fusion running later by changing the nVidia driver...
