Default FeeBSD ports and packages
I have now installed PCBSD on my old PC (Athlon 1GHZ/1GRAM) and it runns very nice. No problems just now.

One thing I am wondering about:

Can I install FreeBSD compiled or sourcode packages ? Would/could this for instance destroy some package dependies in the PCBSD installation ?

Would the PCBSD installation be capable of compiling sourcecode packages ment for FreeBSD or will this not work ?

Reason for question: I am thinking about installing Asterisk telephony server, and I think possibly it has to be installed from sourcecode (??)

Maybe if you try to change some basic components.
