Please look your own message.
You just need to do pkg_delete oss-freebsd-v4.0-1006-i386 and
you will get a read of your package.
You didn't install package
www://bla bla That was a web address.
Just to make sure check your /var/db/pkg for the list of packages
You should see oss-freebsd-v4.0-1006-i386 or oss-freebsd-v4.0-1006
Why did you want to use OSS if you had sound?
The reason you do not hear the sound might be one of the following
1. You a missing system files as the PC-BSD is shipped only with binaries
(Probably not the reason because OSS should not install without system three)
2. You have to add oss_enable="YES" into your /etc/rc.conf file and reboot
3. Your audio card is not recognized.
what is
$oss-info
Show me your
$oss-test
what is dmesg?
4. Some application is blocking your audio card.
5. Application you are using is not properly configured to use OSS.
If you use OSS you should compile it from the ports not take binaries from the idiotic website (unless you do know what are you doing)!
Let me know what is going on.
