Hi friends, May be this question may look foolish to you guys, but If I have a home network, can I remote access another desktop? I want to be able to remote access one of the other computers on my home network. Is there a way to do this with WinXP Home or some third party software?
FreeNX is available in the ports but it's stuck at 1.4 and you'll need a 1.5 or earlier NoMachine client for the windows box to desktop to PC-BSD. To go the other way use rdesktop. FreeNX is getting a complete rewrite something soon as I read on the FreeBSD lists lately and if things work good, it would be a nice addition to PC-BSD 1.5
In my home network I can remotly control my PCBSD from my WinXP and viceversa.
I'm using UltraVNC under WinXP and Remote Desktop under PCBSD (already available with in PCBSD).
