Default installing Citrix Client to run on FreeBSD (PC-BSD)
I have downloaded the Linux Client from Citrix: http://www.citrix.landam.com .

I think I have installed the necessary pkgs for Citrix to work. It shows installed, but does not work. I found where someone else succeeded in getting it to work on FreeBSD 5.3. I have the Linux version of Firefox 2.0.0.3 installed.

Should you need more info, holler. Also, I am a newbie on BSD and PC-BSD. Any help would be appreciated. Especially instructions.

Thank you ahead of time for the help.

The link above gives you the Linux Citrix 10.6 client.

I have tried installing the FreeBSD Citrix 10.6 client from the ports. It just is not working. I installed from ports directory and made sure that the dependencies required were already installed.

I have Firefox 2.0.0.3 Linux installed due to the problems with Flash player crashing the FreeBSD port for Firefox.

Is there specific info that is needed that would help to get this resolved? let me know.

pkg_add -r net/citrix_ica
Because, that gives me this:
pkg_add -r net/citrix_ica
Error: FTP Unable to get ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports ... ix_ica.tbz: File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)
pkg_add: unable to fetch 'ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-6.1-release/Latest/net/citrix_ica.tbz' by URL

Even thought it is obvious that I have internet access or this post would not have been possible.

I was also thinkg that if I use a Linux version of Firefox, I nneded a Linux version of Citrix. If that assumption is wrong, then please correct.

Thanks for the post though.

Default oops
I failed to notice that that this is restricted software, therefor a package does not exist. License forbids redistribution, so don't look for a PBI release of thise either.

It can be installed by ports, and requires both x11-toolkits/linux-openmotif and emulators/linux_base-fc4 (which may cause problems with PC-BSD core file) to run.
