Default PC-BSD won't run on current hard drive...
I posted this problem awhile ago, and tried some of the advice given to me, but it didn't work. So I'm curious if anyone can recommend a hard drive they are certain works. I don't need anything very big 20-30gb would do.

Also what wireless adapters would you all recommend that have been reliable under PC-BSD?

Thanks!

Are you sure it's the hard drive?...it could be the controller. What are the MB specs. I've used both SATA and ATA, Seagate and Wester Digital.

Default Wireless Hardware Recommedations
For Wireless Adapters there are lots of discussions on several wireless adapters in the Networking Section of the forum. See:

http://forums.pcbsd.org/viewforum.ph...cf29e338492243

Also, for a list of hardware said to be compatible with FreeBSD 6.1, see:

(Select the appropriate architecture for your computer)

Have you got the RAID turned off in the BIOS? This is an old chipset (in terms of computer years) and has good support and nothing asked about it on the FreeBSD lists for over 8 months. Any ATA or SATA hard drive made in recent memory _should_ work but as alway, I might be wrong
