Default Fatal Trap 9 on istallation
Hi all.

I hope someone can help me with this one, I have searched around but to no avail.

When I load the PC-BSD 1.3 installation disk or the FreeBSD 6.1 installation disk I get a fatal trap 9 message after the boot menu which then reboots the system. I have tried safe mode and acpi options but still no luck. The strange thing is that DesktopBSD 1.0 will not give me this error and lets me install the o/s.

I would prefer to use PC-BSD or FreeBSD rather than DesktopBSD so is there something I can do about this error or is there a way I can somehow make DBSD more like PC-BSD?

FWIW - I have a compaq presario v3230AU notebook and no additional hardware.

Thanks

JJ
