My Internet is so slow :(
Hello!
I installed PC-BSD and it looks very nice...but:
My Internet is very slow (and no sound..). Under WinXP and Gentoo Linux it works fine.
Sometimes konqueror post errors like "Unknown host forums.pcbsd.org" or "Timeout.." then I retry and it works, but slow. Download slow too.

This will only work if you're running a name server on a local machine with .88 address.
Put you ISP DNS servers here, one to a line.

ISP - Internet Server Provider
DNS - Domain Name Server
In your internet configuration (in the router/modem or whatever) you have to put 2 DNS, primary and secondary, those are 2 IP's (Internet Protocol) and those are the ISP DNS's.
I've just checked and my konqueror is as slow as dead, i cat the resolv.conf and it also shows me my router IP. I don't know if that's the problem but i'll check with ISP dns's and post here the update.
[EDIT]
Yes, now konqueror loads pages fast.

To get your ISP's DNS numbers open konsole, type in
|
Code:
|
dig <myISP'sName.whatever> |
and look at the authority section. Usually it has an 'ns' in its listing.

If that's what it takes, then yes (if #2 is used to disable ACPI...most people here aren't going to reboot just to see ;-) )
Look at this thread, at the bottom for a permanent solution
