Default help no desktop icons
People have suggested to right click and select 'create new' or 'add new applet'... neither appear in my menu when I right click (anywhere).

Wondering if they're using a different version? I believe I have the i386 version and running the x (server) side of it.

Sorry not on my desktop with linux on it at the moment on the couch with the laptop, if I need to grab some more info I can.

Any suggestions? Or perhaps a clearer rundown of where this menu option exists in plainspeak! Thank you so much,

Drew White.

Hi Drew,

Most of the users here are not running whatever the server version uses for a window manager...so my previous answer to your question in another thread will probably not work. I'm sure some one will be along to answer your question though so please stand by...

Hello

You probobly have some KDE-dependency/installation problem, so you can reinstall KDE or the whole system to make it work.
I had this problem in the past. I only had a taskbar, but no desktop icons or right-click menu at all.

Wish you luck
