Anyone know when PC-BSD will upgrade the base system to Freebsd 6.2?

Welcome to the forums. Next release, 1.4, slated for June will be whatever is current for FreeBSD (at least 6.2 and whatever patch it is at)

This might be a dumb question,but will it be pretty easy to upgrade or will I have to reinstall the new version?

You should be able to use the online update utility or just download a PBI to upgrade when the time comes.

Just don't cancel the update while you install and you should be ok.

Also if you had to do any special system configuration in /etc, /boot or /usr/local/ I'd back up the file(s) you changed just in case.... I've never been able to trust PC-BSD 10/10 times heheh.
