Default GParted - How to resize partitions without losing data
at least according to this article I would have put this in Tips but like the guy cautions, he wouldn't try it on a production machine.

I've used GParted with great success before. This most recent time the boot sector got messed up, but after fixing windows I'm back up and running.

-FYI-or before warned
if you reduce the size of a partition that is before a bsd partition(s) and create a new partition then you will have to edit fstab (increment slice #s by 1) in the following bsd partition(s).
