Default Nvidia and PC-BSD 1.3
I do not know, what the manufacturers imagine from PC-BSD with a development of a software, probably nothing.

First of all as it can be that still another age-old X-server is used? Version 6.9, although we have meanwhile the version 7.2.

Furthermore I ask myself, why offered on the PBI side still age-old Nvidia driver? although there are already by far neueere versions since last year? why isn't it adapted?

Furthermore I have under PC-BSD of 1,3 with your age-old Nvidia drivers, which are a disaster. I have a black screen after the installation continuously. It does not go changing over absolutely nothing more and can I also.

Thus I do not know, but your PC-BSD 1,3 is current in KEINSTER way, Linux is you around years vorraus.

Thus a new Nvidia makes driver PBI!!! and aktuellisiert finally times your Xserver on at least 7,1!!!

And the sound server of PC-BSD is also a disaster! One scratch and rush without ends, with Linux I have that in keinster way, there runs everything wonderfully. So aktuallisiert, finally, sometimes your software, above all, your PBI page, the software there has become outdated partly extremely.
PC-BSD ?

Well the Xorg nvidia driver included with PC-BSD v1.3 works for some of us :-)

When _FreeBSD_ moves to a stable and port system integrated Xorg7.x so will PC-BSD. Doing other wise would be like shipping XGL/Compiz as the default desktop.

Go bitch at the PBI's maintainer please, I'm sure he/she can use the kick. So every one will get the PBI faster so they can skip installing from ports :-)

The only differences I've noticed on sound has been changes to the emu10k1 support in ALSA over the past year. i.e. Old Knoppix works like PC-BSD, new Ubuntu /w ALSA works like PC-BSD /w OSS + emu10kx driver xD

thus the Nvidia driver you offer on the side PBI, work with me in keinster way, the screen remains simply black. And then I can do what in keinster way.

And I suppose that in the ancient Xorg 6.9 lies, you should go as soon as possible on 7.1 upgraden.

Oh you believe if I write to the PBI team which should go which Nvidia driver completely renew on the side PBI that then they also do that? I do not believe this. Have a look, nevertheless, sometimes at the wishes in these people. There absolutely nothing moves. The software on the side PBI has completely become outdated and I can also not explain myself and many other absolutely, why there nothing is done, just what concerns the Nvidia and driver ATI. One wurschtelt hold out before himself, as if nothing was.

I am really sour aufjedenfall that I have exactly the same problems, how with PC-BSD 1.2 still

It is extremely frustrating with PC-BSD!

ist schon sehr traurig, dass hier nichts mehr kommt, aber was anderes habe ich auch hier nicht erwartet,. die PBI Hersteller machen eh was sie wollen und lassen die User komplett alleine! :x

Yeah it would help if the software makers would pack quality PBIs for us instead of RPMs, Debs, Apts, craps e.t.c.

That way the whole thing wouldn't be on the PC-BSD Communities handful of PBI Developers backs.
