Default Linux Compatibility Layer
I've installed the FC4 layer. Is there anything special I need to do now to get Linux apps to run?

For example I tried running a program called Celtx the same way I'd run it on Linux by creating an application launcher. Two other people I know of can run it just fine on FreeBSD but it fails to launch for me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think linux applications would probably use/see the /usr/compat/linux/ folder as their root directory instead of *BSDs / directory.

Yeah, I tried putting it here: /usr/compat/linux/ but it still won't launch. Is the layer enabled by default or do I have to turn it on?

A 'mount' command should show you if it's mounted. If not then you can try entering this
Code:
linproc /compat/linux/proc linprocfs rw 0 0
in your /etc/fstab

Thanks. I'll try this when I get home.

It's mounted. Still no joy.
