Default How to run PCBSD in text mode ?
PC BSD was without any problems installed on VMware Station 5.5

In accordance with instruction of VMware to instal;l VMWARE TOLLS I need run guest operation system in text mode. As I understood it something other than terminal/ They wrote:"You cannot install VMWare tolls while X is running".

But I dont know how to start this OS in text mode. I don't found any answer in Handbook and other sourses.

Also I have to know how to back in X mode.

you may want to edit /etc/ttys and search the line tty8 or something, where it says "/usr/local/bin/kdm", and change "on" with "off", then x won't start automatically.
