Default AMD - k6
On my AMD 500mhz K6 pc i installed 1.3 fine but it borked after installation.

problem namely blank screen after bsd chooser program ran.
eg i press 1 on my numeric key pad.

I've since found out that my cpu isn't support by this version of CPU (it being a i585 not i686 family cpu).

wouldn't be kinder to the user to popup a message after detection of cpu speed to inform them that it isn't fast enough and to stop the install process there :?:
even better rename the iso's as being x86 (i686) compatible thus giving users
the hint about expected CPU speed required.

I thought i had a xconfig issue and have spent @ 3 1/2 hrs trolling these forums and google to find my answer.

just a wee grumble (but hope it's taken constructively)

It has nothing to do with your CPU speed afaik it's a matter of CPU Architecture.
