PC-BSD's not recognizing tar...

During my attempt to instal PC-BSD on hard drive, I've get an error message with text showing something like:

tar: unrecognized archive format

Any ideas?

I gusess it's an error reading the cdrom. Write a CD at minimum speed and retry. You can use a CDRW as well, remember to use the lowest speed possible.

There is a huge tar file containing the installation. This is probably decompressed at the time of installation.
