Default LVM and PCBSD?
Well after months of frustation after PCBSD some how totally wiped itself out  and I couldn't even reinstall it to my system (lost many files I needed ), well to make a very lond story short;
needed to get a system working so I could work, installed Fedora Core 5 worked great, ops: learned once again to do backups (yeah I know dumb not to), so I bought a sata drive, now I have FC5 using lvm and I have 400GB on that drive, will PCBSD read the lvm,:?: does it use lvm,:?: can I use the lvm as my home directory,:?: since PCBSD is installed on same drive as my windows partition, which did not exist until THE CRASH  , part of the long story so I wont go there and how do I get lvm working :?:
Thanks in advance, and glad to finally be back. :!:

LVM is Linux SoftRAID isn't it?

I know FreeBSD has it's own Volume Manager

It is not raid, it is just a way to easily handle storage.

For example let's say that all of your /home is contained in a separate volume and this volume fills up. Instead of trying to extend the partition, you just mount some other disk/partition and add it to the volume containing /home extending it's size.

That's what I know from theory at least.
