There are two CDs, which can be created via the ISO files you can download from links found on the front page. The second one is only necessary if you need a non-English language version.

You now need to burn the downloaded ISO images to a CD (make sure to have a disk that can hold 700mb). I'm assuming you are currently on a Windows box, and not sure you have Nero or not so I will link you to a open source ISO burner.

http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/d...orderV2RC1.msi

Just download the .msi file and install it.

After installation, right click on the PC-BSD ISO file you downloaded and burn it to your disk drive.

After you have successfully burned your ISO to the CD, you need to keep the CD in the drive, reboot the machine and let the machine boot from the CD, which will go through the motions on how to install PC-BSD.

Good Luck!

Knoppix also has instructions for some software.

Burn it at the slowest speed your burner supports (likly 4x or 8x). And check the md5's first so you know the ISO is good.

if your using windows, other wise see this thread

Hi. Now what exactly happened after the install? Did you setup your root password and user account? The very last screen of the install should be your system admin (root) password, which is for administrative purposes like system administration, setting up network devices, etc, and your user account which is your user name (whatever you choose), your real name, and your password. Once you put in the info click next and your accounts will be setup and then you will get a finish button to click and the PC will reboot. Take the disk out of the drive as soon as your system is rebooting so it won;t start the install again. If you set it up correctly, it will auto matically log you in. Let someone know if you still have problems.
