Default Need help booting
Why is it that after installing PC-BSD it just wont boot into KDE desk top?
After installation it takes me to a command line, I then try (startx) but no dice .
Need some direction to get going. Thanks, fvs ops:

Have you tried to reinstall. Maybe your media is bad try a new cd and fresh download.

Any error msg's e.t.c. ? Expecially X Server related.

Don't forget to look in the logs.

Thanks guy's,
I think I'll stick to Debian, until PC-BSD gets more user friendly, FreeBSD takes a lot to get out of the box. Thanks once more. fvs

First time I hear that x won't boot after install on PC-BSD. But it is your choise to use whatewer you like Next release should be much better for sure. Keep in touch!

That reminds me, I still need to get Wifi going on Debian so I can install Xorg hahahhahahahaha.

To each their own system, and may never a bastardo come between a user and his OS working to fulfil his/her needs.
