You may find the freebsd source for 6.0
http://pbidir.com/packages.php?code=136.
As for you modem it seems that it is only supported in linux and windows right now so you might just want to use an ethernet modem. You can find them on newegg.com
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6825122106
or cheaper

That PBI just installs Freebsd 6.0 source. After installing the pbi the kernel sources should be in /usr/src, so drivers or programs that might need the kernel sources can use it.

hmm, then there's a problem with the PBI. Instead do this:
Go to Menu -> Computer -> PC-BSD Settings -> System
Then go to Tasks and select Fetch kernel source and you should be good to go.

Ok I started uploading the source, but its around 90MB and I have slow upstream. In a few hours check this to download it http://them3xican.net/src.tar and run this command as root tar -xvf src.tar; cd usr/src; mv * /usr/src
