Default Ports problem
Hi. Sorry for my English
I have just installed PCBSD 1.0rc2. I've uploaded ports and wanted to install Midnight Commander.
Code:
PCBSD# cd /usr/ports/misc/mc
PCBSD# make install clean
"/usr/share/mk/bsd.port.mk", line 7: Could not find /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk
"Makefile", line 61: Malformed conditional (${ARCH} == "alpha")
"Makefile", line 66: if-less endif
"Makefile", line 79: Malformed conditional (${PERL_LEVEL} < 500800)
"Makefile", line 82: if-less endif
"/usr/share/mk/bsd.port.mk", line 7: Could not find /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk
make: fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue
Don't know what to do.

There is a PBI of MC available at http://www.pbidir.com under utilities. It worked for me, and might be easier.

Yeah, it definitely sounds like your ports directories are messed up. See the long discussion on using portsnap in these forums, and use that to get your ports hierarchy up to date. Then try it again.

Ok it works right now. I downloaded fresh ports and it's working. But it is strange for me because i had to download all ports and at the first time i downloaded only few (multimedia, sysutils, etc.).
