Default Intel graphics drivers
My laptop uses an Intel 955/GM graphics card. I have never been able to successfully use PCBSD on my laptop. I can install PCBSD but am unable to adjust the resolution with the result that the font is so large and unstable as to make the o/s unsatisfactory.

I notice the post from Kris relating to Intel graphics drivers and wonder how I can avail the
update. Do I need to download a fresh DVD and then install PCBSD from the new DVD or is there a way to avoid this operation?

Will the updates provide driver for 955/GM.

Thank you

I had similar problems... GDM seems to be the culprit in my case atleast. i was never able to get to X with gdm and i followed this workaround. i have mentioned in this THREAD

Thank you rvc.
The workaround seems well beyond my capabilities.
I was wondering if intel had provided drivers which Kris has now combined into a download or update.
