Default How do you setup a Netgear WG111v2 Wireless USB 2.0 adapter?
Guys,

Works great with Windows XP...but in BSD, only my built-in Broadcom ethernet card is recognized (on my laptop).

Can someone provide detailed instructions on how to get my USB wireless adapter working in PC-BSD?

Take care all and Merry Christmas.

Is there a Linux distro that makes easy wireless installation available, and covers this USB wireless hardware? I love PCBSD, but if the BSD world just doesn't have the support for this, I will have no choice but to use a Linux distro.

if it's too hard to get it running on FreeBSD, does anyone know a good Linux distro that has support for it? How's Ubuntu's support for the Netgear wireless?

Linux's need NDISwrapper to run my card. I read of the following utility, available in the base install of FreeBSD 6.0 and on.

Can someone help me with this? We should develop some type of FAQ about installing this device and getting Windows NDIS drivers working under FreeBSD, because I'm sure other people have non-FreeBSD compatible wireless NIC's they'd like to get using under FreeBSD.

As I understand it NDISwrapper doesn't support USB cads, unfortunatly.

SUSE Linux is a good one for this issue in my experience, but do you know what chipset that USB adapter uses? If you stick with Atheros-based, and Ralink cards you should be fine.
