There is a FreeBSD port called "mozilla_fonts" that will make your fonts nice in firefox and mozilla.

To install it

* open up a shell window
* type "su" and hit enter
*Type your root password
* Type "pkg_add -r mozilla-fonts" and hit enter.

If it isn't allready, this should be made into a PBI package!

You don't have to do it for every app. It's just firefox that has that special package. Most other apps in KDE share fonts.

Mmmh... If some one knows how to fix OO.o, I'd be more than happy to do so, and release new versions. I am very picky with fonts.

i think it is a generally problem. it's not only in this apps you see above. it is in all apps that are not "native" kde apps.

what could i do? if anyone have a link to a howto or something like this, it would be great.

It looks like your fonts on windows have no anti-aliasing/font smoothing applied while in PCBSD they have. Font smoothing probably doesn't work well with your monitor so I would suggest turning it off. Curiously, your unsharp fonts look far superior on my lcd monitor, your windows fonts look very jagged.
