Just Installed - Couple Questions - PC-BSD Forums

Well, just setup the installation and happen to have a couple of questions here...

Anyone using a Hercules Game Theatre XP? I think the Linux Distro I was using saw it as a Crystal Sound Fusion card? Either way, my sound doesn't seem to work was wondering if anyone was using this card.

Also, anyone have dual monitor configuration with a 9700 Pro or something similar. Thanks for any help.

Do you hear any sound when you do this at konsole:

cat /dev/audio > /dev/audio

Try also at konsole:

Code:

dmesg

This show the boot process and after it, there you can see has pcbsd found your soundcard

Although i dont have dual monitors, i'll make few tests regarding your monitor problem

Sorry for late reply, i forgot the whole thing

I tried different configs, but got to konsole login after the boot.

Could that i have used vmware my settings were wrong or 1 monitor cant just handle it.

I can have a look if i find the website, so you can test them if you want.
