Default Opera 12.11
The last update of Opera to 12.11 has rendered Opera not able to start. Even deinstalling and reinstalling does not solve it.

Regards

I just installed the new Opera PBI's from the AppCafe this morning and the worked without any issues (PC-BSD 9.0 - 32-bit, and PC-BSD 9.1-RC3 - 64-bit). Could you be more specific about what did not work?
It looks like the desktop/menu entries are pointing at the binary properly as well, but could you open up a terminal and just run "opera" to see any debugging output?

Forgot to add: PC-BSD 9.1 64-bit "RELEASE" (I know it is not announced yet, but I could not resist).

Which version of PC-BSD are you running, and which architecture (32/64 bit)?

EDIT: Apparently we both posted at the same time... :-)
I will get a 9.1-release/64-bit installed here in a couple minutes to test it out. Until then, just hang tight. :-)

I do not know if it is important, but I have installed with ZFS mirrors and a portjail whose home directory is mounted nullfs on my home directory.

One or two days ago, Okular began to issue this message:

Quote:
No se puede escribir en el archivo de configuración «/usr/home/josean/.kde4/share/config/okularrc».
Contacte con el administrador de su sistema.
In english:

Quote:
Configuration file "/usr/home/josean/.kde4/share/config/okularrc" not writable.
Please contact your system administrator.
Edit: the Okular thing is fixed by chowning to my user.

It might have something to do with your setup then, I just tried Opera on 9.1-release/32-bit and it worked fine. The 64-bit environment is still in process... (had to download the .iso)

EDIT:
I just had a thought, if you are running Opera from a portjail, make sure that your portjail is upgraded to 9.1-release as well. It might be possible that you have one version of libpng in the portjail, and another version on the main system (where you are displaying the UI). I have not run into this situation before, so if this is the case I will probably refer you "up the dev chain" to help nail down this issue. :-)

Opera is from the Appcafé, a pure PBI. I do not have libpng in the portjail, either.

I will try to solve it in the meanwhile (Troubleshooter is my middle name XD ).

Thanks :-)

I just finished up installing a 9.1-release/64-bit and the Opera PBI works fine there as well.
Did you happen to change anything on your base PC-BSD system (not in a jail), that would affect libpng?
