Smile Compatible Hardware - Video Cards
Hey everyone I need your help! I'm needing to compile a new list of compatible hardware for PC-BSD and need your input. Please tell me what video cards you've used that work great with PC-BSD. Be sure to tell us any details about the video cards that you think might be a substantial benefit for other users as well. Be sure to include the make and model of the card so I can reference it.

Nvidia G210, don't remember cards manufacturer, but chipset is that. Works with Nvidia driver.

A few video cards I have used here that worked perfectly fine:

EVGA SC (superclocked): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 (2GB GDDR5 RAM version)
EVGA: NVIDIA e-GeForece 8600 GTS
NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 (can't remember manufacturer)

Intel GM965 in a Thinkpad R61 works pretty well.

Intel HD Graphics in a Thinkpad T410 i5 works with very bad performance. No acceleration, It works in VESA mode. It's necessary include Intel KMS modules in PCBSD, otherwise it's not worthy.

I use only nVidia pasive graphics cards, works great with PC-BSD

intel hd 4000 ivy bridge
kwin effects in kde aren't working, everything else is ok

Did install went without problems, does monitor work within its nominal resolution, does graphics work adequately without glitches and so on. If answer to all those questions are yes, then most likely your graphic card works, and is compatible.

Hi,

Gigabyte GT 430 work perfectly with PC-BSD 9.0 and 9.1

Carte vidéo GT 430 Gigabyte fonctionne correctement avec PC-BSD 9.0 et 9.1
