My favourite Konq tips for newbies.

1) Turn off Automatic delayed reloading/redirecting (settings-->configure konqueror-->web behaviour) this can make a huge difference to the loading time on some sites.

2) Increase the (measly) cache size from 5000kb to around 50000kb to speed things up and save a little bandwidth.(settings-->configure konqueror-->cache)

3) Install the webfonts port (free microsoft fonts) to see sites as their designers intended.

4) Add the konq-plugins package for some useful extras in both web browsing and file manager mode.

pkg_add -r kdeaddons-konq-plugins
