Default AppCafe suggestion for a new version
According to this thread is needed that download is saved

http://forums.pcbsd.org/showthread.php?t=16279

Could Download use for save perhaps

/usr/pbi/pbi-downloads

or

/usr/pbi/PBI-Downloads

Then is light to share (with NFS or something others) on more FreeBSD and PC-BSD computers to save Yours Bandwith.

And to install on others computer with

pbi_add ports.pbi

If are used many PBI then is AppCafe too vast, could You add if there is more as 30 PBI installed a option to sort as normally as in Browse section (cat/ports)?

pbi_info | wc -l
52

Now is

pbi_info | wc -l
100

Option by installing to execute if needed

/usr/pbi/port/.sbin/.pbi-install.sh

to all user have icons and executable in /usr/local

This is needed for Fluxbox menu which looks for Icons in /usr/local/pixmaps and /usr/local/icons. I must allways use this for mine Fluxbox.

Option by uninstalling to execute automatically, if it is not alleady used

/usr/pbi/port/.sbin/.pbi-uninstall.sh

An Option to install updates for all installed PBI, not only for one by one. This is usefull if there are many installed PBI.

Thanks

Apps installed via AppCafe don't always appear in their correct menu categories (often they just get lumped all together in one called "Other").

This needs correcting.

There are going to be a number of improvements to the AppCafe with PC-BSD 9.1, try out the latest snapshot to see what you think.

Also, the menu categories issue was a bug in one of our automated PBI module building scripts, and has been fixed. All (or at least most) of the PBI's within the AppCafe should now have their menu entries in the proper categories now.
