Default pbiDIR and PC-BSD 9's .pbi
I open http://www.pbidir.com/ and I found this notification :

"Notice: These PBIs are for 8.x, users on 9.0 should use the AppCafe to install software."

Is there any reason from PC-BSD developer to force PC-BSD 9 user to use the AppCafe instead of manually download from pbiDIR, because I think the PBI Manager advantage is for offline installation. Though I can manually go to http://pbibuild.pcbsd.org/index.php?ver=9 or ftp://ftp.pcbsd.org/pub/pbioutgoing/i386/9/ I still prefer for using pbiDIR site.

pbidir.com is being retired, as it currently only hosts 7.x and 8.x PBIs. That website is starting to show its age and needs a redesign. At some point, there will be a redesigned website containing 9.x PBIs (other than the build server links you mentioned), but that is still on a TODO list.
