EDIT: sound and mic work in RC3.

# pkg_add -r linux-f10-alsa-plugins-oss
# cp /compat/linux/etc/alsa/pcm/pcm-oss.conf-dist
/compat/linux/etc/alsa/pcm/pcm-oss.conf

Send a message via Skype™ to morphay
Default
Code:
9.0-RELEASE GENERIC  amd64
microphone started to work after:
Code:
#mixer mic 90:90
Setting the mixer mic from 0:0 to 90:90
webcam in Skype established through AppCafe does not work.
then I tried to install skype through the ports and got the conflict dependency:
Code:
linux-dri-7.4_1 conflicts with installed package(s):
linux-f10-dri-7.2._1
linux-f10-libGLU-7.2
deinstall linux-f10-dri-7.2._1 and linux-f10-libGLU-7.2
after skype was compiled from the ports, and it compiled linux-dri-7.4_1

then i deinstalled linux-dri-7.4_1 and compiled linux-f10-dri-7.2._1, linux-f10-libGLU-7.2

and webcam in skype worked

Exclamation
I have all worked what morphay writted

Have probe to install from AppCafe and from Ports Skype

portmaster net-im/skype-devel

===>>> The following actions will be taken if you choose to proceed:
Install net-im/skype-devel
Install audio/linux-f10-alsa-lib
Install audio/linux-f10-alsa-plugins-oss
Install devel/linux-f10-libsigc++20
Install dns/linux-f10-libasyncns
Install multimedia/linux-f10-libv4l

===>>> Proceed? y/n [y]

portmaster graphics/linux-f10-dri graphics/linux-f10-libGLU

===>>> Working on:
graphics/linux-f10-dri
graphics/linux-f10-libGLU

===>>> Proceed? y/n [y]

But not have video in Skype. Mine WebCam works with Ekiga and others.

From /usr/ports/net-im/skype-devel/Makefile

OPTIONS= VIDEO "[broken] Video sending support via multimedia/webcamd" on \
NVIDIA_GL "Use libGL provided by NVidia binary drivers" off

Sound works only with adjusting /compat/linux/etc/alsa/pcm/pcm-oss.conf

to /dev/mixer8 and /dev/dsp8

Only Skype OSS manually installed works with video...

Copy from Laptops - may be, here is more correct place for this question

Problem with webcam on Asus A52F notebook:

Yesterday I tried to install 9.1-rc3 for Asus A52f. All work fine, even a webcam, even in Skype, but here's the problem - the image upside down. Is there any way workaround this, or let the people with whom I talk, turn upside down their monitors?

after editing /usr/local/etc/rc.d/webcamd - adding "-m v4l2-dev.v4l_hflip=1 -m v4l2-dev.v4l_vflip=1" into command_args the image in pwcview became correct oriented, but in Skype it still upside down

UPD:
1. OS changed to 9.1 - no changes in webcam behavior.
2. I tried videochat working on flash - same results as with skype.
