PC-BSD 9.0 rc1 Samba not installed

Hi,

I did not install KDE but the GNOME desktop. I can not see samba running anywhere and I get a 'you need to install at least either Samba or NFS in order to share your folders' message when clicking on the 'Shared Folders' tab.

- samba is enabled in rc.conf though?

- originally installed beta3 and did the upgrade
- running as guest in virtualbox
- everything else seems to be working fine, except FireFox which freezes the system - but this is unrelated to Samba

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Samba wasn't included in RC1, but I've added new optional "Services"
meta-pkg which includes Samba now.

i got the same problem on a fresh install of 9.

Did you select the Samba package in "Services"? You can do it post
install in Control Panel -> System Manager -> Packages -> Services -> Samba

I just did it here, and it worked fine.
