Default acer aspire 6935
Hi all,
I've checked the laptop compatibility list and did not found my aspire 6935 listed, so before I install it with pcbsd, has anyone had experience on such hardware? Can list if are there pieces not working?

Default Aspire 6935
Hi,

Welcome to PC-BSD !

Before install test in liveDVD. I don't think you have some problem with this configuration. The Aspire 6935 is 2008 model.

Not sure on how to test the live dvd, I've downloaded the 9 beta 2 but it proposes me only to install pcbsd, not to see a live demo version. Am I doing something wrong or missing something?

Having a look at dmesg it seems that all hardware is correctly recognized. However I'm unable to install the 9 beta 2 since it is really slow (I'm posting a more detail note about this).

I'm running 9 rc-1, I can confirm that wireless, ethernet, and other hardware is working. What is not working is the mate-keys on the keyboard (e.g., desktop brightness) and also the brightness of the desktop does not change via the kde control.
