I'm a newbie to BSD and PCBSD and was wondering if PCBSD 8.1 supports Mobile Broadband out of the box like OpenSuse and Ubuntu does, or will extra configuration be required?
Depends on the device and such You'll probably have to do some
configuration of /etc/ppp/ppp.conf, but if the device is supported it
should be doable.
It's an Internal Huawei 3G Modem, it works fine in OpenSuse 11.4 Milestone 6 and in Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10, It gets detected when the text part of the Installer is working. I'll update when it's finished Installing everything.
