Default PC-BSD Control Panel cannot uncheck "enable firewall at startup"
PCBSD 9 12-04-10 build

Cannot browse network shares by going into places network. Nothing will show up until firewall is disabled. Also this happens in version 8.1 with KDE and I shut off the firewall at start up in order not to have to mount smb shares manually by ip. I am assuming maybe an exception would need to be added to the firewall to allow network browsing? I would really like to figure that out so I could keep it on for portjail to work.

Anyway the issue in version 9 with Gnome under PC-BSD control panel cannot uncheck the box "enable firewall on start up".
