doesn't mention anything about camera at all. Is it possible to find out why it's not detected and if it is supported at all?

Thank you.

Probably it's a VirtualBox issue. Just found this ticket on http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/242

Quite often extra devices, like cameras and various USB add-ons, won't be detected by VirtualBox. This seems especially true of the OSE edition of VirtualBox most system come with. Depending on your host OS, you might be able to install the full version of VirtualBox to get more device support.

I use Windows 7 as host OS. Currently trying to install PC-BSD as second system, have some problems with burning ISO to disc. I'll report about webcam later.

I've set up PC-BSD on laptop. Now it detects webcam but Skype doesn't see it and pwcview command gives me the following
Quote:
[const@alpha] /home/const# pwcview
Failed to set palette to YUV420P: Invalid argument
What can I do or where should I look to understand the problem?

ADDED: In /var/log/messages I see the following
Quote:
Aug 25 00:32:03 alpha root: Unknown USB device: vendor 0x090c product 0x3371 bus uhub7
Looks like it's not supported
