Hi Kris,

I tried to register in the new Pootle translation system but I got the below error message which prevented me from receiving the activation email and resetting my password.

I tried to send this message on Pootle contact us page but I got the same error.

How often do you push the Pootle files to PC-BSD? Is it just once per release?

My language is added in the install and I made a lot of additions lately, but will they appear via a system update or something like that or only with a new release?

I am asking because some OS's push out translations as they are being done, and others only once per few months with a release, which is inconvenient since the language may already be translated by then.

Default Help us Translate PC-BSD!
Normally we only issue the translations a at release, although they are
constantly getting commented to SVN every 24 hours. We could do it
monthly if that would be helpful.

BTW, the pbimeta.po file gets pushed out every 24 hours, so we don't
need to worry about that one.

Aha, thanks for clarifying Kris. Basically a language needs to have everything save for pbimeta.po at realease date (since that can be translated on the go).

This makes more sense. I think by the time 9.0-RELEASE is out, the translators would have had enough time.

Not really. There are heaps more terms and sentences to translate in 9.0 than in 8.x. Translating 9.0 is gonna be a really tough task (especially pbimeta.po). As an evidence, look at the overall progress for each language: http://pootle.pcbsd.org/
